For founders and early teams
Look like a company before you have a brand team.
Investors want the logo for a portfolio page. A podcast wants it for the episode art. A new hire needs the colors for a deck. You do not have a brand team, but you can have a brand link. GitBrand is free for up to five brands.
- 01Logo
Full mark and icon, on light and dark. Upload the SVG; GitBrand exports PNG and JPG.
- 023 colors
Primary, secondary, neutral. Named, with the HEX written down once and copied everywhere.
- 032 fonts
Heading and body, with where to get them. Live preview so nobody guesses.
- 041 paragraph
What the company does, in the words you want quoted. Put it in the repository FAQ.
Who will ask
Four groups, one page
You do not need a 60-page brand book to be consistent. Put the four items above in a repository and you have answered most of the requests you will get this year.
Press and podcasts
Partners and directories

No card, no trial
The Free plan is the plan
Most startups need one repository, maybe two. The Free plan gives you five, with unlimited downloads and password protection, and shows a small “Powered by GitBrand” footer on the page. Premium, which is coming soon, adds unlimited repositories, a custom domain, team seats and roles, and removes the branding at $12 a month or $9 a month billed yearly.
Repositories over the limit stay readable; you simply cannot create more. Full details are on the pricing page.

Plan for the rebrand
You will change the identity at least once
Because everyone has the link rather than the file, a rebrand means updating the repository and sending one message. Here is the order that works.
Before
Clone the repository as a private draft
Duplicate the current brand and build the new identity in the clone. Nobody sees it at the original address.
Switch day
Replace the assets in the live repository
Logos, colors, fonts and the paragraph, updated together. The link everyone already has now shows the new brand.
Same day
Send one message
Team, investors, partners and press get the same link they had before, with a note to replace local copies.
The week after
Chase the places the old brand hides
Email signatures, slide masters, social avatars, ad accounts and your own website footer.
Onboarding without a brand team
Paste this into your onboarding doc
New hires get the colors for their first deck, the logo for their email signature and the fonts for documents, without asking a founder. Replace the slug with yours and the snippet is done.
When someone asks a usage question, answer it in the repository FAQ. The next hire reads it there.
## Brand Everything brand-related lives at https://gitbrand.com/north - Logo: download SVG or PNG from the Logos section (use the dark version on dark slides) - Colors: copy HEX from the Colors section; Forest #456455 is primary - Fonts: names and downloads under Fonts - Company description: see the FAQ on the same page Questions about usage: add them to the repository FAQ so the next person has the answer.
FAQ
Questions founders ask
Is GitBrand really free?
Yes. The Free plan includes up to five repositories, uploads for logos, fonts and resources, unlimited downloads and password protection. Premium adds unlimited repositories, team seats, custom domains and branding removal, and is coming soon.
We only have a PNG logo. Is that a problem?
You can upload it, but ask your designer for the SVG. Vector logos scale to any size and GitBrand exports PNG and JPG from them automatically.
Can we start private and go public later?
Yes. Access level is a setting on the repository and the link does not change.
Do we need design skills to set it up?
No. If you can name a color and paste a hex value, you can build the kit. GitBrand presents what you add; it is not a design editor.
Can investors and press see who downloaded what?
No, and neither can you see names. Members get Insights: views over time, unique visitors, where they came from, and which assets were downloaded. That tells you the kit is being used without tracking anyone individually.
