Brand asset management

Every brand asset, one link, no more resending files.

GitBrand is a lightweight brand asset management app. Upload the logos, colors, fonts and files that make up a brand, add the guidance that explains them, and give everyone one link instead of a folder, a thread and a guess.

Before and after

A folder holds files. A repository presents them.

The same North brand, twice. On the left, the shared drive most teams live with. On the right, the repository people open at gitbrand.com/north.

What you get

Everything a brand kit needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Each section of a repository is built for one kind of asset, so the preview, the values and the download options are right where people expect them.

Logos in every format they will ask for

Upload an SVG once. GitBrand shows every variation side by side and exports SVG, PNG or JPG on demand, so nobody has to open a design tool to get a file.

SVG in, SVG / PNG / JPG out

Colors that copy correctly

Name each color and GitBrand shows HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK. The palette exports as CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, JSON, TXT or an SVG swatch.

CMYK is an approximation

Fonts people can try first

Visitors type their own text into a live preview, adjust the size, then download the files you have the rights to share.

Resources and a FAQ

Attach PDFs, templates and archives as named resources. Answer recurring questions once in the repository FAQ.

Any file, with a description

Public, password or member-only

Three access levels on the same link. Change it later without sending a new URL.

Same link, any level

One link, a QR code and an embed

Every repository has a short URL, a QR code for print and an embed version without the GitBrand header and footer for your own website.

gitbrand.com/embed/{slug}

Clone to start the next one

Duplicate a repository you are a member of as a private draft. Handy for sub-brands and campaigns.

Private clones

Readable by AI tools

Public repositories with AI access enabled publish brand.json, Markdown, llms.txt and an MCP endpoint.

Public repos only

Three steps

From empty repository to shared link.

There is no import wizard and no template to configure. Create, add, share.

  1. 01

    Create a repository

Sign in, name the brand and pick a slug. Your brand lives at gitbrand.com/your-slug from the start.

  2. 02

    Add assets and guidance

Upload SVG logos, define named colors, attach fonts and resources, and answer the questions people always ask in the FAQ.

  3. 03

    Share the link

Set the access level, then put the link in briefs, onboarding docs and email signatures. Update once, everyone sees the latest.

What it is not

Enterprise digital asset management systems catalogue tens of thousands of files with metadata, approval workflows and rights management. Most designers, studios and small companies have a smaller problem that hurts more often. GitBrand solves that one.

Do you need a DAM, or a link?
  • Not an enterprise DAMNo approval workflows, rights expiry or metadata taxonomies. If you need those, a full DAM is the right tool.
  • Not a design editorGitBrand stores and presents assets. You still make them in Figma, Illustrator or wherever you already work.
  • Not an archive for thousands of filesIt is built for the current identity: the logos, colors, fonts and files people actually ask for.
  • Not per-person download trackingInsights show views, referrers and download counts per asset. There is no record of which named person took which file.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they start.

Is GitBrand a digital asset management (DAM) system?

GitBrand is a lightweight brand asset manager. It focuses on the current identity, not on cataloguing every campaign file. If you need approval workflows, rights management or archives with thousands of assets, a full DAM is a better fit. See the alternatives page for a straight answer.

Do viewers need an account?

No. Public repositories open for anyone. Password-protected repositories ask for the password. Only member-only repositories require the viewer to sign in.

How many brands can I manage?

The Free plan includes up to five repositories with unlimited downloads. Premium removes the limit and adds team seats and roles, a custom domain and the option to remove GitBrand branding.

What file formats can I upload?

Logos are uploaded as SVG and exported as SVG, PNG or JPG on demand. Fonts and resources accept any file, each with a name and description. Colors are entered as values, not files.

What happens when the brand changes?

Update the repository once and the link keeps working, so everyone opening it sees the current version. Copies people already downloaded still need replacing, but nobody has to hunt for the new source.
